Madison St. Chicago, IL        Duration: 10 mo. contract + extensions [Immediate and Urgent]   Must Haves 7+ years of experience Java (J2EE) application development Strong understanding of Object Oriented principles Strong SQL skills Hibernate (connectivity with the databases) Multi-threading experience TDD concepts   Plusses Python experience (this is ideal) Sybase or Cassandra database experience Agile methodology (SCRUM) Financial industry experience Test Driven Development (TDD) specifically using Cucumber/Lettuce   Day to Day This senior application developer will be implementing (design, code, debug, test, document and support) software solutions for the Global Markets Operations Technology team. They will be primarily supporting migrations and refactioning the Java application into their proprietary Quartz system. This candidate will implement solutions used by the Middle Office/Finance for various financial management activities including P&L Attribution and Reporting, Accounting and Price verification. The solutions will be designed and developed in close collaboration with the users in an Agile development model. They must be comfortable with interacting with users, have strong oral and written communication skills, and be a team player that adapts to the needs of the team’s success.
